Teammates Mentoring Program

Irving Middle School continues with the Teammates Program. Teammates is a one to one mentoring program and we currently have over 20 volunteers who come to Irving each week to meet with a student. The Program began in 1991 by Tom and Nancy Osborne who believe that youth need someone older who can talk with them, help them set goals and reinforce basic skills, attitudes and other lessons of life. The Program emphasizes character issues. If you would like further information, contact your child's counselor.

TeamMate Mentors

We are in need of more mentors. Irving Middle School has a wait list of students who have requested a mentor. Some of these students have been on a wait list for months. Could you help us? Who do you know who would be good at doing what you do every week? Do you know a friend, a colleague, or a neighbor who would be willing to invest one hour a week to make a difference in the life our one of our youth? Please pick up an application and share it with someone you know. We would be happy to mail out an application if you give us the person's name and address. Together we can make a difference.
