January 30, 2018

Today is a PLC Day. Students will be dismissed at 1:38.

Mrs. Hoefs was nominated for a Staff Like by Savannah Mohlman because when I needed help with math and she took the time after school to help me.  Mrs. Honerman was nominated by Alexia Stevens because she taught me how to play the xylophone, and she’s an amazing teacher.  Mr. Brown was nominated by Haylie Russell because he makes everyone feel welcome in his class.

The SOTW this week is to remember to use an Irving H2O bottle for water during the school day. When you bring in a parent/guardian or doctor permission form, you get to carry an Irving water bottle and you are also demonstrating that you are a responsible Irving student.

Parent/Guardian Informational Meetings

An important component in the transition process are the informational meetings at the six LPS high schools in January.  Since students entering the ninth grade may choose the high school they want to attend in LPS, these meetings have been scheduled to give students and their guardians to attend more than one high school meeting before the February 2nd  deadline for submitting the “High School Choice” form.

Rescheduled:     Wed., Jan. 31, 2018      Lincoln Northeast                      6:30 pm

Information about the focus schools and specialty programs offered at LPS can be found under the Schools tab at www.lps.org or by contacting a school counselor.

The LPS Oral Spelling Bee will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Culler Middle School. The Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 5-8. More information is available from your English teacher.  Information is also available in the Parent Center on the LPS website.
