The Skill of the Week this week is Completing Homework.

You’ve heard of the Irving Chimney Swift Club and now you have a chance to join. If you love nature and want to make a difference than this club is for you. The first meeting of the school year will be Thursday, September 13 in room 114. See Ms. Hughes if you have questions.

Are you interested in a career in engineering? Are you available after school on Wednesdays? Then you should come to the recreation center for our engineering club. In this No Cost club you will design, build, and test a bridge using engineering principles, the engineering design process, and special engineer’s notebooks! It is taught by a former Irving alum and engineer Rachael Wagner. Please sign up at the rec center before the start date of Wednesday, September 5th. Space is limited!

Irving Circle of Friends will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 12th after school at 3:05 pm in the media center. Please see Dr. Bruening in Room 205 to sign up. All are welcome!

If you are interested in joining Mrs. Cejda’s One Book One Family Book Club, stop in the library to get an application.

Do you love art?  Do you find yourself doodling in class wishing you had more time to be creative?  Then art club is for you!  Art Club is an opportunity for students who are interested in developing their art skills as well as collaborating with other areas to promote arts in the community.  If you are interested in joining Art Club, please meet in the art room (Room 113) after school this Thursday for a quick meeting.
