8th Grade Boys’ basketball tryouts are December 17th and 19th after school in the gym.   If you did not attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Mohlman before tryouts for the papers you need.

Congratulation to Lillias McKillip for placing 1st at Irving’s Geography Bee by answering the question: Saginaw Bay, a popular summer tourist destination in the state of Michigan, is an islet of which lake?  Lillias will take the State Qualifying Test sometime in January.  Congratulations also to Jonah Thornok who place 2nd and Leo Turner who placed 3rd.

 

Tomorrow is a PLC Day.  Students will be dismissed at 1:40.

Also, do you need more drama in your life? Well, LPS has intramural Drama/Speech/Debate opportunities for you! These are Saturday morning sessions and there is an information night January 9th at Southeast High School Auditorium at 7pm. You may register in person or online. Please see Mr. Brown if you would like more information.

Introducing THE HOLIDAY CLOSET:  Holidays can be stressful!  Sometimes we can’t find the time or the funds to buy for those we love.  If you find yourself in need of a gift for a loved one but are without the funds to make it happen, please use jump code YKOZ and complete the short form.  The form closes on Thursday evening, December 6.  Again, that’s jump code YKOZ.

 

6th, 7th & 8th grade students bring your ‘likes’ to lunch to purchase ‘Aardvark Shout-outs’ to recognize, thank or to send positive cheer to fellow classmates or teachers.  Shout outs will be posted for all to see as we spread kindness this month.

 

Today, December 7th there will be a short informational meeting for any 7th or 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball.  If you have questions or are unable to make it to the meeting please see Mrs. Mohlman in room 012 or Mr. Teer in room 308.

The Quarter 2 Wellness Challenge is all about giving and thanks.  Check your counselor’s google classroom for the wellness challenge and submit your results online before Thanksgiving break.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Granger in room 311 or pick up a printout in the counseling center.
