The Skill of the Week this week is Hallway Behavior.

 

6th and 8th grade morning choir forms are due this Thursday, August 23rd.  If you have not received a sign up form and would like to join, please pick one up in the choir room or the main office.  Please see Mr. Robb or Mrs. Hunt if you have any questions.

Remember if you forget your instrument, to check in the main office to see if anyone has brought it in.  We will not interrupt class to let you know that your instrument is here.

It is your responsibility to check in the office to see if it has arrived.

 

Are you interested in playing Intramural Sports this year!?  If you are in 7th or 8th Grade, Intramural Fall Sports will be starting soon!  There will be an informational meetings next week for the fall sports:

 

Cross Country: Thursday August 23rd at 3:15 in room 016.

 

The Health Office is out of water bottles until further notice.

 

Red Cross Club will have their first meeting on Monday, Aug 27 after school in the cafeteria. All are welcome to attend!

 

All students planning to participate in fall intramurals (soccer, volleyball or cross country) must have a red parent/student consent form filled out before they are able to practice.  Please make sure these are returned by Friday so that you can start practicing next week!  If you missed the information meeting for soccer, volleyball, or cross country and you still want to play, please see Mrs. Mohlman (room 012).

Are you interested in joining Irving’s Archery club? Irving Rec. Center participates in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP), and our specially trained and experienced coach will introduce you to range safety, etiquette, and proven skills for archery success.  This club will meet on Fridays in September afterschool. Please come to the rec center to learn more about this club.

Would you like to learn how to build and program robots using Lego Mindstorms components and applications? Come and join the Irving Lego robotics club. Robot builders will compete in head-to-head matches against opponents in a race to score points on robot game tables. This club meets Saturdays from 9-11 starting September15th. Come to the Rec center for a registration form.

Interested in being part of the LSE girls golf team? Attend an informational meeting in room F219 at Lincoln Southeast on Friday, May 25th at 11:00 AM!

 

The Recreation Center will be closed for the after school program on the last day of school.  Please make arrangements to be picked up at dismissal time.

 

Any 8th grader who is planning to attend Lincoln High – Summer Strength and conditioning will begin on Monday, June 4th at 7:30 am.  Sessions will last until 8:45 am.  These will run Monday through Thursday throughout the summer.  This opportunity is open to both girls and boys.

Attention Talent Show talent! Please check the talent show classroom for a new Announcement. All act 1 talent and act 1 talent handlers meet in room 204 at 610 pm. All act 2 talent and act 2 talent handlers meet in room 204 immediately following act 1!

Hello Aardvarks! Let’s celebrate the end of the year Tuesday night! Please come to our first annual Stars on S 22nd St talent show. Tomorrow night, 630 pm! Admission is one canned food per person. All donated cans will go to the Food Bank of Lincoln. Come out for a good cause and support your friends! It’s going to be a good time! You may even see your teacher up on stage!
