Join us in the library on Thursday Nov. 21 after school (3-4:00) for our “Dress for Success” workshop. A local store will be presenting to us about how to “dress fancy.” This workshop is for EVERYONE/ANYONE at Irving who is interested.  One of the highlights will be learning how to tie ties (both bow and regular), which is an invaluable skill for all!

Tomorrow is World Kindness Day and the Counseling Center wants to encourage you to show some kindness. Stop by the counseling center and take a compliment from our bulletin board to share with someone and then get your picture taken at the “Be the ‘I’ in Kind sign” in the hallway outside the counseling center. We can’t wait to hear the stories of Aardvarks showing kindness.

Did you know that for the Halloween holiday, more than 600 million pounds of candy are sold in the United States alone? All that candy creates a lot of trash, and usually it can not be recycled due to its size. We have a solution for this problem! In the library, there is a collection box for Halloween candy wrappers! Bring your wrappers from home to be recycled this season and do your part to eliminate waste!
